How to Flash Stock ROM Using QPST Tool (Qualcomm Product Support Tool)

This page lists instructions on how to flash Stock Firmware using QPST Flash Tool (Qualcomm Product Support Tool) on Qualcomm Smartphones and Tablets.

Before you proceed to install Stock ROM using QPST Tool, it is recommended to fulfill the below requirements for smoother flashing process.

Requirements:

  • You need to have a Qualcomm powered smartphone or tablet. If your phone is not powered by Qualcomm chipset, then this tutorial is not for you.
  • Make sure your phone has enough battery juice. It is advised to charge your phone to at least 60%-75% before proceeding with the flashing process.
  • Take a backup of all your data to a safe place.

How to use QPST Tool to Flash Stock Firmware

Step 1: Download and install the Qualcomm USB Driver on your computer. If you have already installed the drivers, then you can skip this step.

Step 2: Download and extract Stock Firmware for your Android phone or tablet from here.

Step 3: Download and install QPST Flash Tool on your computer. Once QPST Tool is installed, go to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin” or “C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\QPST\bin” folder. Here you will see the following files as shown in the image below.

Step 4: Now connect your Qualcomm powered Smartphone or tablet to the computer using a USB cable.

Step 5: Now, open QPSTConfig.exe file on your computer.

Step 6: Once the QPST Configuration launches, click on the Ports menu.

Step 7: Now click on “Start Clients” and then on “Software Download” option.

Step 8: QPST Software Download dialog box should launch. Now, click on “Browse…” button near Phone Image and locate the firmware (.hex) on your computer that you want to flash on your Qualcomm device (Step #2). If your firmware files don’t come with .hex files, then make use of QFIL Tool to Flash Stock Firmware.

Step 9: Now, click on “Browse…” button near Boot Image and locate the “BOOT_LOADER.HEX” file from the firmware folder which you have extracted in Step #2.

Step 10: Now, click on the “Start” button to begin the flashing process.

Step 11: Once the flashing process is completed, you will see a Green Bar at the bottom of the QPST Tool.

Step 12: Disconnect your Qualcomm device and restart it.

Congratulations! Now you have successfully flashed Stock ROM using QPST Tool on your Qualcomm powered smartphone or tablet.
