This tutorial lists instructions on how to flash Stock firmware using Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) on any Qualcomm Smartphone and Tablets.
Before proceeding with the firmware flashing process, make sure to follow the below preparation steps for smoother flashing process.
Preparations:
- Take a backup of your data as flashing the stock firmware through Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) Tool deletes all of your data and settings.
- Ensure your device has at least 50-60% battery left before proceeding with the flashing process.
Flash Stock ROM using Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) Tool
Step 1: Download and install Qualcomm USB Driver on your Windows computer. If you already have the drivers installed, then you can skip this step.
Step 2: Download and extract the stock ROM firmware for your Android device on your computer.
Step 3: Download the Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) Tool and extract it on your computer. Once extracted, you will see the files, as shown in the image below.
Step 4: Launch Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) by opening “QFIL.exe” file.
Step 5: Now, power off your phone and connect to the computer using USB cable while pressing and holding the Volume Up button.
Step 6: Now, in QFIL Tool, click on “Browse” and locate the firmware (.mbn) which you have extracted in Step #2.
Step 7: Once you have added the firmware file, QFIL will automatically load the rest of the firmware data.
Step 8: Finally, click on the “Download” button to begin the flashing process.
Step 9: The flashing process may take up to 5-10 minutes to complete.
Step 10: Once finished, your device will reboot automatically.
Congratulations! Now you have successfully flashed Stock Firmware using Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL).
