How to Flash Stock ROM Using Lenovo Downloader Tool

This tutorial lists instructions on how to flash Stock firmware using Lenovo Downloader Tool on any Qualcomm Smartphone and Tablets.

Before proceeding with the firmware flashing process, make sure to follow the below preparation steps for smoother flashing process.

Preparations:

  • Take a backup of your data as flashing the stock firmware through Lenovo Downloader Tool deletes all of your data and settings.
  • Ensure your Android device have at least 50-60% battery left before proceeding with the flashing process.

Step 1: Download and install Qualcomm USB Driver on your Windows computer. If you already have the drivers installed, then you can skip this step.

Step 2: Download and extract the firmware for your Android device on your computer.

Step 3: Download the Lenovo Downloader Tool and extract it on your computer. Once extracted, you will see the files, as shown in the image below.

Step 4: Launch Lenovo Downloader Tool by opening “QcomDLoader.exe” file.

Step 5: Now, click on the “Load” button (gear icon) and select the firmware folder which contains the firmware files which you have extracted in Step #2.

Step 6: Now, click on the “Settings” button to open up the QComDLoader settings panel. Here, choose Upgrade as Download Mode. Once done, tick the box next to Validate Download ROM. Now enter the Chipset number of your device in the Chipset box (you can get this number from the eMMC file name from firmware folder). For example, if the eMMC file name for your device is prog_emmc_firehose_8936.mbn, the chipset number will be 8936. Once done, leave the remaining settings (eMMC Programmer, Patch0 and RAW Program) as it is and click “OK“.

Step 7: Once done, click on the “Start” button.

Step 8: Now, power off your phone and connect your device to the computer while pressing and holding Volume Up and Volume Down buttons together.

Step 8: Once the computer detects the device, the Lenovo Downloader Tool will automatically start the flashing process.

Step 9: The flashing process may take up to 5-10 minutes to complete. Once it is completed, you will see a Green Passed Message in Lenovo Downloader Tool.

Step 10: Close the flash tool, disconnect your device from the computer, and Power it on.

Congratulations, now you have successfully flashed Stock firmware using Lenovo Downloader Tool.
